Can someone please advise me?
One of the families in my family history programme brought up a child (Joseph) and I assumed he was their son.
Now 4 years later I find he is the illegitimate son of their eldest daughter.How do I alter the entries,without having to retype 3 subsequent generations? Doug

You just need to relink Joseph to his real mother instead of his grandparents, like this...
Open the family where he currently appears as a child, make a note of his P code, right-click on him in the children list and choose "Remove", then click the "Update" button for the family.
Open the eldest daughter's data form and add a marriage for her. In the new family form, right-click on the children list, choose "Identify", enter Joseph's P code and OK. Again click on the "Update" button in the family form.
