Default in Options/Preferences of GEDCOM when Linked to KKP

Using Win 7, KKP 3.2.4, TD 4.4.0

I've noticed when I open any TD file and look at Options/Preferences/ Import field tab the Current database window shows GEDCOM. Why is this file type showing and not the KKP database file that is linked to the tree that has been opened (or at least the first one in the list if more than one linked)? Yet if I click on Browse the dialogue window that opens shows the expected KKP database for the tree is highlighted. Clearly the application knows what is the correct database, but it is showing a default value which is wrong although I corrected it the previous time it was opened?
