Linking to Objects off C drive

Back in August 2021 I sought your help in setting a location off the C drive for my KKPro databases. I've managed to do that successfully. I now want to create another folder alongside the database folder to hold KKPro Objects (mainly pdf files in my case). However when I try to link to these files I get an error message something like 'Unable to bind to the source'. I'm sure that when I had everything on the C drive, I could set up links to Object files outside the database.
