I use K&K v3
Ihave some 800 families in my database, i am unable to see them all on the screen when viewing the Tree Area. Some families are so far from the nucleus no amount of scrolling allows me to select them and move them closer to the main group, the connecting lines appear to disappear in to outer space!
How do I get all familes to show on the screen?

This is what the "Edit | Move selection" function is designed for.

Use "Go to family" to scroll to the distant group of family rectangles, then zoom out and select all of the families in this group. Use "Go to family" again to scroll back to the main group, then use "Edit | Move selection" and click somewhere in a blank area. This will move all of the selected families to this location.
