Birth and Baptism dates

Post by Elizabeth Hatchell » Thu Jan 26, 2006 5:56 pm

I have started on a descendant tree but it seems to want to import both birth and baptism dates which takes unnecessary space. I only want one of them to appear, preferably birth, if known. My chart now has a number of unattached "c" all over the place. Can I find and delete them or should I change the import profile somewhere, please?

Please use "Options | Preferences | Import fields" and click on "Person details". The default format contains "c. <Christening date> <Christening place>" - which you can remove if you wish. However, the "c." will not be imported if both the <Christening date> and <Christening place> data is blank AND the "Ignore lines with no data" option is ticked.

These field names are in the Standard Edition, the Legacy Edition has different field names but the principle is the same.
