Since I moved to Windows XP on a new machine and reinstalled K&K Pro, I get the "Welcome" help screen almost every time I start up the programme - as if it doesn't recognise that I've used it since installing it.

Any ideas how to prevent this?

This is very unusual.

I would suspect that some other program such as a virus checker is messing about with the datestamp on the Kith and Kin Pro folder.

Thanks Nick. I use AVGFree, AdAware, UltraWinCleaner, and Windows Defender - so it could be one of those causing the problem?

Yes, any of those might be the problem.

I too had this problem when I reinstalled under XP. But after a couple of months I realised it had stopped. I'm not sure what I did as I'm forever fiddling and trying out new things. The only thing that I can really think of, based on Nick's comments, is that when first installed I had a built-in broadband modem and a software firewall and when I installed an external modem router, I uninstalled the firewall software as my modem has its own (makes the computer run much faster too).

Not a lot of help I guess!
