Unable to upgrade

Have upgraded to KK Pro V3.1. But Conversion utility for 3.0 and lower won't Work - Runtime error 202 @ 0001:17CF is the error message. Find I am spending far more time dealing with KK problems than researching my tree. Very fed up!

Kith and Kin Pro is only at V2.02

If you get "Run-time error 202" it is because some fault in the folder structure on your PC is causing the initial scan to loop endlessly. You will have to run the conversion utility without the auto-scan and then add your .TRE files to the conversion list manually.

Run the conversion utility by using:
Start | Run | "C:\Program files\Kith and Kin Pro\kkconv.exe" s-
then use the Add button in the conversion utility.

I think the reason it doesn' work is that i do not appear to have any *.TRE, Kithkin.INI, or *.opt files on my PC. The data loads fine in the 'OLD' v1.06 version, is this too old to upgrade?

If you were previously using Kith and Kin Pro V1 then you do not need to run any of the conversion utilities - database conversion is automatic in K&KPro V2 when you open the database.

The conversion utilities are for the older Kith and Kin files.
