Keeping data on living people private

Post by Shah of Blah » Sat Sep 06, 2008 7:13 pm

I have not found a way to mark records private so they do not get exported to HTML when creating pages. So far i copy the database and delete all the people that should not be in - then export to web. Not a problem when i had 200 in the database. Now reached over 6000 and it's getting very laborious.
I have only found a privacy function on notes.

Hi,

There are two privacy features when exporting HTML pages.

1) The "Keep births private" option excludes birth dates for people who are still alive.

2) "Privacy level" excludes notes and user-defined fields with a privacy level higher than the one you set here will be ignored. For example, enter level 2 to include notes/fields with privacy levels 0, 1 and 2. A level 3 or 4 note or field would be excluded.

There is no option for excluding entire records from an HTML export.

This feature will be added to K&KPro V3.
