Birth/baptism dates in Reports

Post by donne » Sun Jun 11, 2006 9:53 pm

I notice that you can tick boxes when setting up reports to provide birth OR baptism dates and burial OR death dates. My problem is that the most precise dates are usually the baptism and burial dates which are what parish registers usually record. If, as I have done in some cases, you enter an assumed rough date of birth and death in the person details, the report printout will default to these less precise dates, and ignore the baptism and burial dates. Is it possible to get KKPro to print out the contents of all the date fields?

No.

But you're right in saying that the baptism date is generally more accurate than the birth date. For this reason the program assumes that if you have entered a birth date as well, then you are more certain of that than the baptism date. There is no need to enter a birth date if all you have is the baptism date - the program will use the baptism date in all its date/age calculations.
