Ignore my last Post. I found the answer in 'Posted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 12:51 am Post subject: RIN Incorrect'.
The solution was to use the 'Person field
Sorry, should have looked more carefully the first time.

ID for imported people
I want to easily identify people imported into a chart. As there is a strong possibilty that there will be people with the same name I want to use the reference number given to each individual by Legacy 6.0, e.g. I am 1, my wife is 2 etc etc. In Preferences, Import fields tab, I changed the format o...

This is an update to my 'Printing to a file' post. I found a printing company who had a large format printer and they were able to print my family tree .pdf formatted files without any problem. They printed 2 different page size files, one 2378mm wide x 841mm high and the other 1189mm x 841mm with n...

I've sent an e-mail to my ISP, however, I doubt that they will add your IP to their Whitelist. There are 163 domains hosted on that IP a number of which are porn sites. Clearly you have no control over who your hosting company does business with but that is probably why the forum e-mails to me are b...

Importing short location names from Legacy
Hi
I would like to import into TreeDraw from Legacy (v:6) the short location name for births, christenings, deaths and burials rather than the full location. Does anyone know how this can be done?
Thanks

Two suggested features
I would like to suggest two additional features for TreeDraw (apologies if someone has already done so). 1. Allow the use of a keyboard key, e.g. shift while extending/shortening a line or moving text to keep the element in the horizontal or vertical from its point of origin. 2. In addition to the s...

No notification for a posted reply
Hi
I recently posted a printing query and even though I have the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' option ticked I didn't receive an e-mail. Is there a problem with this? I did check my Junk Mail box but that was empty.

Printing to a file
Hi Nick Thanks for the info although I don't think that would be a solution. I think that 'Print to file' is application specific rather than printer specific. If I use, Word, Excel, PhotoShop, GenePro etc they all have the 'Print to file' option check box. However, I've been investigating the pdf s...

Printing to a file
I'm using a registered version of TreeDraw 3.1.1 I have a chart which like most is large. My solution is fairly simple in that I find a local printer who has a large format printer, find out what printer they have and then install that printer's drivers on my PC. I then print my chart to that printe...
