Dear Nick, I use TD to create charts for both the English and German halves of my genealogy. It would be very useful if it were possible to save different language settings as part of my profiles. At present if I want to create an English chart I have to retype all of the names of months, bef, aft, ...

Thanks for the reply, Nick. I've finally found what did it and I think I may have unearthed a bug. I set the marriage data to appear in italics and that seems to have caused the problem. I've now changed it back and everything's fine again.

Recently my charts have started to display marriage data in 2 lines. I'm not aware of having changed any settings. If I have a marriage, say, 1850 in London, the year and place will be in separate lines. If the marriage took place in Milton Keynes it will show "1850 Milton" in one line and "Keynes" ...

Try making a change in the preferences. Set text replace "m. unmarried" with "ptr." on import. Hey presto!

My vertically extended charts are fine, I've set up various import profiles which do what I want. But I can find no settings that enable me to produce horizonally extended charts without the text overlapping all over the place.

Is there anything I'm missing?
