Hi,
I have recently upgraded my old XP pc to a new windows 7 64 bit laptop. I am currently running an old version 3.12 install from a floppy disc and have a tre file for my family tree.
Trying to install the old programme onto the new laptop isn't happening, so I accept that it is time to upgrade. What is the best way I can upgrade and still be able to convert (or get converted?) my old tre file?
tre file upgrade route?

Hi,
.TRE file support was dropped from Kith and Kin Pro V3 (see: viewtopic.php?t=230). If you are still able to export a GEDCOM file from your old Kith and Kin then you will be able to transfer your data that way. If not, we offer a .TRE file conversion service - please send an email to Support@spansoft.org for details.
The Kith and Kin Pro V3 upgrade is available from http://www.spansoft.org/upgrade.php and you will need your current serial number from the floppy disk.
