New timelines available in V3.0.6

Post by Nick Hunter » Sat Oct 03, 2009 3:33 pm

With the release of Kith and Kin Pro V3.0.6 we have brought a lot of the timelines up to date.

These are distributed as part of the Kith and Kin Pro download and can be imported into K&KPro using "Options | Customise timeline". The files are also available from the Downloads page.

New users will find that there are now timelines already in K&KPro for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK and USA.

If anybody is interested in producing or revising timelines for other countries please let us know.

Timelines

Updating to v3.0.6 has not provided an Australian timeline at this time.

Think Canada is there but NZ does not seem to be included either.

This morning my time - updating was a piecemeal affair with a lot of (up to 9500+ hours) for the download - it did complete after about 6+ tries at the update. Just for your information.

Best regards

Hi,

It's possible that the installer did not copy the new timeline text files into MyDocuments\KKPro because the folder already exists.

You will find the same timeline files on the Downloads page http://www.spansoft.org/reg.php#DATA Please save the ones you want into MyDocuments\KKPro

Note that installing the new K&KPro version will not overwrite your current timeline data, after all you may have already made changes to it. But creating a timeline using the new events is easy. For example, to create an Australian timeline, use "Options | Customise timeline", right-click for options, choose "New" and type in "Australia" as the name for the new timeline. The new timeline will be blank, so right-click again, choose "Import" and select the file "TL_Australia_2009.txt".

Nick

Your message arrived about one minute after I had decided to see if the Australian timeline was in the downloads section - and if so copy it into the relevant folder.

I did - and it works - just like you promised - like always.
