Creating Meta Files

Post by roger » Thu Mar 09, 2006 5:57 pm

I have tried a few of these but always finish up losing about half a "box" width at the RHS of the output. I am using "select all" to include all the tree in my output.

Have I missed something somewhere?

We have had similar reports of this problem from a few other TreeDraw users.

It appears to be related to the aspect ratio of your screen size. For example 1280x1024 has a different ratio to 1280x960.

You need to experiment with the screen size setting in "Control Panel | Display | Settings" until you get a screen size which fixes the problem.

It would be useful if you could post the working screen ratio/size here.

Nick

Nick,
Thank you.

I have experimented with display as suggested. I am using a Siemens CTM5005 TFT Flat screen display.
Results:
Current settings: size - 1024 by 768 at 96 DPI.

tried: 1024 by 768 at 72 dpi - Meta file produced OK but desktop etc too small for general use.

tried: 800 by 600 at both 96 & 72 DPI. Meta file not completley produced and desk top etc far from satisfactory.

Current (temp ? ) solution is to add an element to the treedraw screen which "pulls" the captured area further out and down.

A permanent resolution will be appreciated.

Cheers

Roger

Hi,

The problem of copy/metafile cropping the right/bottom elements was fixed in TreeDraw V4.
