Please help me find the option to place a box around each person on the chart.

Hi,
Please use the "Boxed" option in the Import Dialog (where you choose the root person for the tree) http://treedrawlegacy.spansoft.org/manu ... ptions.php

Does that mean that once the chart is constructed and saved, the next time it is opened that option again becomes available?

Hi,
All of these options http://treedrawlegacy.spansoft.org/manu ... ptions.php only apply to each new tree as it is imported. Once a tree has been imported it will not change (unless you edit it manually).

One can also draw a box round any element on the tree including a person's name with the associated date information. Click on one of the icons in top bar such as the "square" , draw it round whatever you want. You will find the inside is blank - the text is hidden - so click on the square to make the black corner squares appear, then go to Align/Send to Back and the text re-appears.
