Backgrounds

Post by Linda Elliott » Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:18 pm

Hi
Is it possible in TreeDraw to add a background to the chart? I would like to import a photo of the parish church where my ancestors worshiped and then be able to watermark it so that it is still easy to read the chart.
Is this possible?
Thanks,

I did just that for a chart a couple of weeks ago.

First of all you need to make sure that the image is sufficiently detailed (i.e. scanned at a high enough resolution) so that it doesn't pixel-late when stretched to the required size on the chart.

Then you need to fade/watermark a version of the original before importing it.

Last stage is to import the image, stretch to fit as necessary then (with the image selected) click on Send to Back on the Align menu.

Hi Graham

Thank you very much for your reply - just what I needed to know! I have had a go and now have a background on my tree. Easy when someone explains it!!

Linda
