Fills not showing in PDF

Post by rich » Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:04 am

Is there any way to export patterned boxes into .pdf? Shapes with cross-hatched fill become solid-fill in the created .pdf. Am highlighting the susceptibility of individuals to a particular inherited condition by putting different backgrounds behind their names, and fully shaded fill is already in use. Have tried 3 different printer drivers, and don't see any setting that could affect it...

Unfortunately this appears to be a limitation of either PDF itself or the wPDF exporter we use.

Try PDF Creator from :-

http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator/

I can output coloured hatched filled shapes to a pdf file with this.

It will install a printer on your system which you can use in most application to divert the print output to a pdf file.

Great! Checked out the website, Open Source, looks ggod, & will download later in year after upcoming trip. Looks like TreeDraw's inbuilt function's redundant? Will try it first though...
Cheers
