Wheel-chart

Post by Jack » Fri May 19, 2006 9:54 am

Hi!
TreeDraw is very good, however some hopes arises.
Have you any plans to make different text (name, born, died etc)
automatically different color/font?
It would also help to provide more than default-settings,
they could be in utilities download, it would help finding good settings.
And also fanchart variant migth be quite easy to implement.

Well, I really like this TreeDraw
Thanks
Jack

Thank you for your comments.

You can already make the font for names different from the font for details in "Options | Preferences | Import graphics". It is not possible to have different fonts for birth, death, etc because these are all the same text element.

If you look at "Options | Preferences | Import profiles" you will find out how to save the settings you want as a profile. The profile can then be selected in the import dialog easily.

Hi!

It is manually possible.
I am just changing female color to red (males and all are already blue), becouse of import settings. However some went quite easily to ungroup and change colour. Someones seems impossible to attach. Do you have some advise about this issue?

I made 9-generation wheel something like this:

About that profile, it was just succestion to make TreeDraw use more easy, but well, it is your software and your interest, not mine.
This TreeDraw have many good points, but maybe it should be more userfriedly and a bit more features to be more popular.

And sorry I dare to compare
Maybe you could take box colours from Legacy, to produce something like this:

As you see it looks quite good (but it still lacks some main features).

Thanks
Jack
