Privacy Level

Hi Group,

How do you use the Privacy Level feature? I have my ideas but what do others do?

I have primary evidence from source documents at the lowest numbers, then secondary transcribed evidence, then searches to be made, and sensitive date at the top level. For example, level 9 is used to identify RG9 (1861 census) image files, level 29 is used to identify RG9 transcriptions. Level 63 is used to identify searches to be made on FreeBMD for a birth quarter, which becomes level 43 when I have the information. So I can search for all level 63 entries if I want to do a search on FreeBMD for birth quarter information.

How do you use the Privacy Level feature?

John

A feature of KKPro is the publication of reports/ webpages along with the notes you make against individuals or families. The obvious use of privacy level is simply to restrict the publication of information which you may choose should remain 'private'! I never feel the need to use more than two levels i.e publish or don't publish.
