KKPro and Google Maps?

Post by Andre » Wed Oct 10, 2007 7:11 pm

I've got an idea for a new feature in KKPro. Wouldn't it be great to be able to create a map of places where your ancestors lived?

If you could store the GPS coordinates in KKPro I'd guess you could create maps of where your ancestors were born, where they died etc. I would love to be able to see all that in Google maps.

I too have been impressed with the facilities offered by Google Maps. However it is possible to link to Google Maps from KKPro. Google Maps can be marked up quite easily using KMZ or KML files and if these are inserted as objects attached to a person or family, they can open Google Maps to display the markup (provided you have an internet connection active). Alternatively an image could be downloaded as a jpeg and stored as a picture.
