In TreeDraw , use "File | Page setup" and set the paper size to 126" x 36". Then select the page you want to print and use "File | Export | PDF file" to create the PDF file.

One last thing to try. After opening K&KPro use "File | Database | Pack". However, it does seem as if there is no data in this database. Since it's not possible for K&KPro to erase the entire contents of a database, could something else have happened during the last session which could have resulted...

The Backup.db table is not important - it is not used by K&KPro. When you have opened the database in K&KPro, what exactly do you mean by a blank screen? Does the database still contain data? "Tools | Statistics" will tell you this. Maybe you are just looking at a blank part of the tree. Use "Go to ...

When the Database Administrator tells you that it "Cannot edit path" that usually means that the current path is no longer valid. You are right to reinstall K&KPro in these circumstances but the problem is not in the K&KPro folder but in the Database Engine folder. So before reinstalling K&KPro dele...

K&KPro always opens the database you were last using when you start it up. If that database no longer exists you could have a problem. Use "Start | Programs | Kith and Kin Pro | Database Administrator" and change the "Path" for the "Kith_Kin" alias so that it points to the "Sample" database folder. ...

TreeDraw has never had that particular layout because of the problems it creates with multiple marriages.

I can't think of any reason why the photo file names should be different. All you need to do to get the data back from the CD is to copy the entire database folder back onto your hard drive, including the Pictures folder. Sometimes you also need to change the "Read-only" flag on each file after copy...

Each sub-folder in the \Data\ folder is a complete database and is all you need to open a database in Kith and Kin Pro.

Does the database name appear in the list when you use "File | Database | Open"?

There is only one setting which would allow you to have only some of the pictures printed or exported and that is "Include image in printouts" in the Pictures dialog. This setting can be different for each picture.

You need to take a look in the error log file GEDErr.txt by clicking on the "Errors" button. This will detail all the errors.

Mostly they will be tags (data) which are invalid GEDCOM or tags which have been ignored by TreeDraw because it doesn't use them.

Just in the same way as you would if they were married. You would probably put some comment in the "Marriage place" field such as "Not married" to clarify that you haven't forgotten to put in the marriage details.

It's very unlikely that all the data has gone. Are you looking at the correct copy of the database? You may have made backup copies to different folders or made new databases with different names and the database which you have open now may be the wrong one. If you can't find any other database fold...

I'm not sure what is happening here. Presumably this happened suddenly and prior to that "Edit | Edit Person" would show people in the list?

If you use "Tools | Statistics" what do you get for the number of people in the database?

There is a listing of the more useful of these fields in the help file under "Reference | Database fields". TreeDraw simply lists the fields which it finds available in the Legacy file, without knowing what they contain. To be honest, most of the fields are badly named and very few will be of any us...

Yes you can; but be aware that the database engine is not multiuser so trying to access a database from more than one PC at once might cause unexpected results. You should store your K&KPro databases in a shared folder on one of the PCs. In "File | Database | Open" you need to enter the "Root databa...
