Re: Reinstalled, can't open files

Hi, Thank you for sending us your chart file. We have completed testing your TreeDraw chart file on 3 different computers under 3 different versions of Windows and can find no problems with the file. This suggests that there is some difference with the way your file is being accessed on your own com...

Re: Access violation after inserting images

Hi,
There is no size limit imposed by TreeDraw. The only problems you might face is if you exceed the resources available to Windows.

Re: Access violation after inserting images

Hi, Sorry to hear that you are having problems with TreeDraw. TreeDraw will not try to save the chart file automatically when you close down the program, you will get the usual "The current TreeDraw chart has been modified. Do you want to save it?" prompt. It is likely that the message you got was T...

Re: Software corruption?

Hi,
It may be a font issue. Do you get the same problem if you use a different font or font style?

Re: [Fxxxx] *Not found*

Hi, It could be a problem in the Links table but if Repair is not fixing it I would go with exporting as a GEDCOM and then importing it into a new database. GEDCOM will transfer your notes but you need to make sure that this option is switched on in the GEDCOM export options as well as setting the p...

Re: What screen resolution are my files

Hi, Sorry to hear that you are having problems with TreeDraw. Usually this message is because the Windows "Large fonts" setting has changed, rather than the screen resolution. This shows you how to change it (Windows versions will vary) http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-xp-v...

Re: dbisam engine error

Hi,
The only other alternative is to recover from a "good" backup, ie. one taken before this corruption occurred.

Re: dbisam engine error

Hi,
Have you tried "File | Database | Repair"? Either of the Aliases.dat or Aliases.idx files may be missing or invalid. Are you able to open the Sample_V3 database?

Re: Legacy imports

Hi, 1) TreeDraw does not use your Legacy settings, it has its own settings which you can access from "Options | Preferences". However, to change date modifiers such as Cir, Bef, etc, please edit the TreeDraw.ini file which is in the "<user>\AppData\Roaming\TreeDraw Legacy Edition" folder. Look for t...

Re: Difficulty seeing fewer fields

Hi, Sorry to hear that you are having problems with TreeDraw Legacy Edition. Most likely it is the number of pictures which is causing the problem. You can get TreeDraw to only import certain images from the Legacy database by using the "Pictures | Must have print flag" option in the import dialog (...
