Cut a line in two

Is it possible to cut a drawn line in two?

The charts I'm making at the moment have lines that go over multiple pages, currently I'm having to re-draw the lines so I can insert a few things at the page edges. Would save a lot of time if I could just snip it in two and move the lines.

Re: Same sex marriages

I've got one union like this which didn't import the partners name. I've checked the GEDCOM 5.5 file I have and the names of both are in there and they are linked in a family. It's possible that Treedraw is dropping the name because the individual is attached to the WIFE tag but their sex is set to ...

I tried both options and the extra source references still appear, they also show as: Only source reference for this field. However, I found that it is doing it because there is no date in the proceeding record, below is the same person exported but this time I put dates in for christening and death...

GEDCOM and sources

I've been using a program called The Complete Genealogy Reporter to create narratives of what's in Kith and Kin Pro, but couldn't work out why it was showing multiple sources when I only had one in Kith and Kin Pro and, in some cases, showing I had a source (i.e. Death source) when I didn't have one...

Suggestions

For the next version:

Could there be an option to show whether someone is adopted/fostered.

When exporting GEDCOM files, could it also export the photo's as well, with the appropriate tags in the GEDCOM file.

Suggestions for next version

I had a look at the Edit Person... and Delete Person... and the windows look exactly the same except for the one word difference in the title. Just a suggestion for the next version of Kith and Kin, either make the Edit and Delete windows visually different or maybe move the Delete options to a diff...

Defaults, Grids and Page Margins

1) As an example, Options/Preferences/Appearance will always come up with H & V grid spacings of 20 & 20, whatever you used last time. That can be very annoying having to change the grid spacing everytime I create a new tree. I've looked in the treedraw.ini file and although the following are in th...

Illegitimate children

For illegitimate children, I would suggest putting into a seperate family, and in the Marriage field just put something like "Not Married". Makes it obvious when printing from Tree Draw, or right clicking the family in the tree view.

Hello I've had this error before, appears when there are a lot of families packed together on-screen in 1:1 view. The way I got rid of the error message was to spread-out the families (also makes the tree easier to follow), just get close to where the error occurs and move the families outwards. JR.
